Terms of Use
Zyt is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). The terms below add to it. Where they conflict, these terms apply between you and us; the Standard EULA governs your relationship with Apple.
1. Provider
Zyt and getzyt.com are provided by J.M. van Dijk, P.O. Box 000, 1955 Chamoson, Switzerland, hello@getzyt.app.
2. The service
Zyt is an app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that shows your Apple Reminders as live countdowns and links them to people and mail. It depends on Apple Reminders, Apple Contacts, iCloud, your mail providers and, for some features, Apple Intelligence. These are services of Apple, Google and Microsoft under their own terms; we do not control them and cannot guarantee their availability.
3. Subscription, free trial and renewal
- Zyt is offered as an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, purchased through the App Store. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad and Mac when they use the same Apple Account.
- New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial.
- The subscription renews automatically at the price shown in the App Store for your country, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The free trial is available once per Apple Account.
- Prices may change. A price change applies from the next renewal, and Apple notifies you in advance as its rules require.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the content of your reminders, contacts and mail, and for keeping your Apple, Google and Microsoft accounts secure. You may not use Zyt to break the law, to access mail you are not entitled to, or to interfere with the services it relies on.
5. Apple Intelligence and search features
Summaries, related-mail search and translation are generated on your device by Apple's models. They can be incomplete or wrong. Zyt shows them to help you, not to replace reading the original message. Check important details in the email itself. These features require a device that supports Apple Intelligence.
6. No warranty, limitation of liability
Zyt is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for missed deadlines, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of Zyt. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence. Your reminders and contacts remain in Apple's apps; we recommend keeping iCloud backup enabled.
7. Intellectual property
Zyt, its name, clock mark and design are owned by J.M. van Dijk. The licence granted under the Standard EULA is personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Intelligence, Reminders and iCloud are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Gmail of Google LLC; Outlook of Microsoft Corporation; WhatsApp of WhatsApp LLC.
8. Changes and termination
We may update Zyt and these terms. The current terms are always at getzyt.com/terms.html; material changes are noted in the app's release notes. You can stop using Zyt at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may discontinue Zyt with reasonable notice; paid periods already charged are honoured or refunded by Apple.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of the Canton of Valais, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
